Such a unique inn, outside and in. So much fun exploring the rooms. Stayed in the Tibetan room, with painted ceiling and led lights. Antique fixtures. Hope they are able to raise the money for repairs and new roof to keep it running, as their really isn’t locations like this in Michigan left. Beautiful!
Henderson Castle is a once in a lifetime experience! We have stayed for anniversaries had dinners and breakfasts at the castle! It is one of our favorite places! Even though it’s in the heart of Kalamazoo, Francois and his staff make you feel like you are on a European getaway!
Enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day dinner at the Henderson Castle yesterday. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and it was fun to get to take a tour of the place. The rooftop looked awesome and had an incredible view of the city. It had just been completely redone and has a brand new hot tub.
Planned a visit including the wine tour and dinner and honestly, I can’t stop referring people to visit. It is such a gorgeous castle and a beautiful history to it!! Everyone was friendly and dinner was wonderful. I don’t seem to understand how anyone can give it bad reviews!! It is a perfect getaway!!
I stayed a night at the hotel and did the couples massage the next morning. The Spa is amazing. Great experience overall.
Most amazing experience I have ever had, I’ve traveled around the country and world and have yet to find an experience one tenth as amazing as the Henderson Castle and the wonderful Francois Moyet! Super highly recommend!
I took a group of 13 for our company Christmas party, and The Henderson Castle exceeded my expectations. The service of each course was well paced, and each course was fantastic. Our servers, Justin and Holly, were on point and also fun. I plan to go back soon. Great job.
Went with friends for a 7-course meal. I really enjoyed the decor, friendly staff and it was delightful to see people dressed up for some murder mystery dinner going on upstairs. Food/wine was very good but the Creme Brule was AMAZING! I highly recommend it!
My friend Amy and I took a drive north to Kalamazoo for a mid-week get-away and had a wonderful time. We both loved this re-purposing of a grand, old home into a bed and breakfast/spa retreat. We marveled at how much of the original woodwork and fixtures were intact and beautifully maintained, yet how modern amenities were thoughtfully and creatively included throughout. My husband booked a massage for each of us; I can attest that Veronique has the most healing hands ever. A massage from Veronique is worth the stay alone! Amy and I enjoyed the beautiful grounds and many places to relax and enjoy the gardens. All the employees were attentive and accommodating and our room, the Victorian Room, was spotless. Plenty of hot water for the shower with an intriguing shower-head! The hot tub on the roof top offers a sublime place to watch the sunset. What a great place to get a little dose of Europe.
We just celebrated our 18th anniversary by staying for the weekend at Henderson Castle (first time). Dakkar was a wonderful host; he was extremely attentive, showed us around after setting us in and was pleasant and helpful all weekend. He is an asset to the castle; hope he is kept on staff as long as possible! Our server Jacquelyn was excellent during the seven-course meal, which was worth the whole experience! Anthony was also a class act; we completely appreciated his efforts to see that our dinner went smoothly. Reading on the porch and sampling wine at the wine cave were also highlights of the stay. Thanks to the staff – especially the ones mentioned above. I hope they are recognized for their work! It was a wonderful anniversary – we will be back!
I stay there for 2 night with my fiancée last week end in the Earth Sky room. That was unbelievable…The room and the food was just amazing!!!! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. AAA + experience…The roof top with the hot tub was fantastic as well…We also had a massage (dual massage) that was very cool, then I have a facial, pedicure and manicure…. Love it! The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! As far the dinner is concerned…We travel all around the world, eat in some of the finest restaurant…The 11-course meal was just amazing and certainly one of the best meal I ever have in my life…We will be back for sure!
